Supplement Recommendations

Not all supplements are created equal. Just like food choices, the quality of your supplements matters. Read labels carefully because supplements with cheap synthetic ingredients, fillers, binders and dyes can do more harm than good.

FullScript

FullScript is an on-line dispensary of professional-grade supplements.  It is the easiest and least expensive way for my clients to purchase top brands.  I am able to offer clients a 30% discount off the MSRP, plus free shipping on orders greater than $50.  Click on the Fullscript link to the right to browse and place an order.

Following are some top supplement companies that I trust and use personally, and can be found through Fullscript:

Pure Encapsulations

Using no fillers, binders, or coatings, they offer a wide array of hypoallergenic options in capsules or loose powders for maximum absorption–this is a good option for those with gastrointestinal absorption issues and/or allergy/sensitivity concerns.

Thorne Research

Another company that uses no fillers, binders, or coatings, and they offer a wide array of hypoallergenic options in capsules or loose powders.

Metagenics

I recommend Metagenics supplements because they are bioavailable, heavily researched, and proven effective. In particular, I highly recommend their OmegaGenics EPA-DHA 720 as an extremely pure, highly-concentrated fish oil that is suitable for anyone, and the PhytoMulti is an ideal multivitamin for the average person.  An excellent, broad-based probiotic for daily use by most is UltraFlora Spectrum.  Metagenics supplements are usually available only at local holistic pharmacies or online.

DoTerra Essential Oils, IPC # 921062

I am a firm believer in the power of essential oils to heal many ills, and DoTerra is the highest-purity, greatest-efficacy essential oil company I have found.  In my house, we’ve done a “medicine cabinet make-over” with the oils. They have so many uses, but no harmful side effects! For example, a drop of peppermint oil on the forehead works great as a decongestant; tea tree oil is an excellent antiseptic and anti-fungal; lavender oil soothes bug bites and burns, and promotes relaxation; and DoTerra’s Past Tense blend relieves my migraine symptoms as well as Motrin or Advil.  I even take some key oils with me on vacation as my First Aid Kit.  Get them here at retail prices: https://www.mydoterra.com/charissamcronin/#/  or ask me about how to set up a wholesale account.

High-Quality Animal Protein

The quality of animal protein we consume matters.  Consuming sick animals that have been fed an unnatural, pesticide laden diet will make us sick, too.  You can affect the quality of commercially available food and help make major social change in the way animals are raised by voting with your dollars.  You can seek out and purchase only humanely raised, pastured, grass-fed meat products.  In a nutshell, these are naturally raised animals, not those confined to tiny cages in a dark building for their entire lives.

I have found high quality, grass-fed and organic animal products at Trader Joe’s, Fairway, and Whole Foods. Once you look outside your typical grocery store, there are many sources available, especially on-line, where great bargains can be found for buying frozen, high-quality meats in bulk. One on-line source I can suggest is US Wellness Meats.
