I Let Go of The Fear!

We have all experienced operating from a place of fear instead of a place of logic. It’s human nature.

Today is a big day for me.  I purged the medicine chest of the stockpile of asthma medications prescribed for my son. He was SOOO sick for the first ten years of his life. I took a photo of the stockpile as a reminder.

It’s been nearly three years now, since he used these meds.  Truth be told, he’s been sick a few times since he changed his diet, but never short of breathe or sounding like he was drowning in mucous. And his seasonal allergies have disappeared. The occurrence of illnesses is becoming less frequent as his immune system recovers from all the immune suppressing prescriptions.

I am so proud of him and surprised even that he has chosen “the path less traveled.”  He knows, though, that he needs to eat a certain way to avoid being sick. He feels empowered now!

These prescriptions all expired months ago.  Yet still, I couldn’t let them go—like clinging to a security blanket.  What if….?  But logically I know that asthma is caused by inflammation in the airways; inflammation is caused by consuming foods that inflame the body and lack the nutrients to support detox and a healthy immune system. Once inflamed, the airways react to an individual’s “triggers” and restrict airflow.

It’s time for me to let go of the fear.  It feels liberating!

I’ve replaced the prescriptions with an arsenal of essential oils that have no side effects, but that’s a topic for another post.

Now I’d love to hear from you. Are you struggling to let go of fear?
